Financing the Jihad Part 3

The presentation in these booklets ought to be dignified and ought not to contain such tones and substances that are contrary to the spirit of the Jihad. As every Mujahid knows, that all the treasures of the world and heavens belong to Allah Ta`ala only and Allah Ta`ala alone will provide each and every need of the Mujahideen. But according to the Revered Sharee`ah of Islam, the Mujahideen are obliged to propagate the virtues of spending in the Jihad, as pronounced in the Holy Quraan and the Revered Sunnah. Once these pronouncement are delivered to the Muslims, then they have fulfilled their duty and after which the Muslims ought to be left to their own decisions. If some Muslims do not wish to participate in spending for the Jihad, then to knock on their door would be an insult to the Mujahideen, as they are appealing for financial help only for the Victory of Islam.

The Virtues and Rights of Marriage Part 02

11. It is mentioned in a Hadîth that you should not propose to a girl when your fellow Muslim brother has already proposed to her until he gets married or gives up this proposal. In other words, when a person has sent a proposal to a particular family and there is a likelihood of their replying in the affirmative, another person should not send a proposal to that same family. However, if they reject this first person, or he himself changes his mind, or they are not too happy with him and are still hesitant in giving a reply, it will be permissible for another person to send a proposal for the same girl.

The Virtues and Rights of Marriage Part 01

1. It is mentioned in a Hadîth that this world has been created to be utilised and that of all the things that are utilised in this world, there is nothing better than a pious woman. In other words, if a person is fortunate enough to get a pious wife, it will be a great blessing. It is also a mercy from Allah Ta’âlâ that she is actually a comfort for the husband and a means for his success in this world and in the hereafter. A person enjoys comfort from such a woman for his worldly needs and she also assists him in fulfilling his religious duties.

Wealth and Society Part 03

Early Islamic Society

Self-effacement became second nature with the Companions. Ibn-i-Omar tells that, “We have seen days when none of us had a greater claim on his wealth than his Muslim brother.”

Consequently, many events took place which joined the frontiers of kindliness with those of fellowship, and which carried fellowship to the heights of altruism and self-sacrifice. It is related by Ibn-i-Omar that “Once a Companion of the Holy Prophet received the head of a goat as a gift. Thinking that such-and-such a person had a greater need of it, he sent it to him. But he, too, thought the same and sent it to another friend. The head of the goat, thus, travelled from one person to another till after making a round of seven homes it came back to the Companion who had received it first.”

Authenticity of the Source Materials and References

Care should be taken in the speeches and writings concerning the Jihad and only the virtues based on the Holy Quraan and the Revered Sunnah are to be stated. All the references ought to be watertight and authentic.

The Jihad is an obligation whose virtues are abundantly stated in the Holy Quraan and the Revered Sunnah. Yet a thorough and painstaking research must be carried out before any narration, quotation and event, in order to refute any false accusations of the non-Muslim, vehement opponent of the Jihad and to eliminate any attack upon the Jihad through this door.

Refraining from criticism

It is natural to be passionate, while dealing with the matters relating to the Jihad. But sometimes it boils over and leads to unfair and unjustified criticism of colleagues and other departments, such behaviour is counter productive and harmful to the Jihad.

Love of ALLAH and His Prophet

Hadrat Anas (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of ALLAH said, there are three qualities and whosoever possesses them, will be favored with the sweetness of Eeman. One who holds ALLAH and his Messenger dearer than any thing else (i.e. who does not love anybody or anything more than ALLAH and his Messenger). One who loves a human being for the sake of ALLAH alone (i.e without any expectation of any worldly gain – but on this consideration alone that he is a godly person). One who has been rescued from Kufr (whether from the very beginning or through repentance) and after that he dislikes returning to Kufr as much as being cast into Hell. The virtue of Makkah and the Holy Kaabah

The virtues of these two places-Makkah and the Ka’ba has been expounded in many verses of the Qur’aan and the Hadith. We shall now look at a few of these. Allah says in the Qur’ an “The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka, full of blessing. On this Hazrat Ali R.A. said that houses for residence had been erected before the Ka’ba but the very first place for Hs worship was this one. It is reported above by many companions that this portion of the earth first appeared above the water after its creation and from it the rest of the earth was spread and rolled out, in the same manner as a roti is rolled out by a roller, to a large round flat bread, from a small round piece of dough.

Ayah Number Three

“This day have I perfected your religion for you; completed my favor upon you; and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”
(Surah 5-4)

One of the great virtues of Hajj is that the verse announcing the completion of the Deen was revealed at the time of Hajj. Hazrat Imaam Ghazali R.A. writes in his ‘Ilyas’: Hajj is one of the fundamental principles of Islam. Upon it the foundation of Islam became completed and upon it the Deen was completed. It was at the time of Hajj that this Ayah was revealed.
