Hadrat Jabir (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of ALLAH (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: “The chief thing in tayammum is to strike the hand on (clean) ground, once for the face and and again for both the hands upto the elbows. [Mustadrak]

Hadrat Aishah (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anha) narrated: When the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) took bath after a seminal emission, he first washed his hands, then washed his private parts with his left hand, then poured water over his left hand with his right hand, (this was due to the fact that there was no small vessel for taking water), then performed ablution as he did for prayer, then put his fingers into the water and moved them through the roots of his hairs till he was satisfied that water has reached the roots fully, then poured three handfuls on his head with both his hands then poured water over all his body and then washed his feet.” [Bukhari, Muslim]  Read more... An elderly Arab lady was sitting alone at the trunk of a tree and Abdullah bin Mubarak also happened to pass that way. Seeing this lady in distress, he spoke to her. The discussion is recorded as follows:

Abdullah bin Mubarak: Asalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah.

The lady: The word from a merciful Lord is peace [Ya Sin 36/58]. She meant that the reply of salaam is from Allah, Most High, Himself. 1. Makruh is that act with which salaat does not break
but the reward diminishes and it is sinful.

2. It is makruh to play with one’s clothing, body,
jewellery, or to remove pebbles. However, if one cannot make sajdah
because of the pebbles, he could move them once or twice with his hands.

3. It is makruh to do the following in salaat: to
crack one’s fingers, to rest one’s hands on one’s hips, to turn one’s head and
look to the left or right. However, if one looks at something by glancing
sideways without turning one’s head, then this is not makruh. However, to
