Waqof-e-Arafat

The literal meaning of Waqof is to stay. The stay at Arafat for a while from the time after Zuhr (Midday) on the 9th of Zilhijja up to the daybreak (on the 10th) is the basic fundamental of Hajj. It is Wajib to stay at Arafat till sunset of the 9th. It is Mustahab to take a bath before moon but if it is difficult, making an ablution only will also suffice. Being so prepared a pilgrim should go to Masjid-e-Namira. Here the Imam-ul-Muslimin (The leader i.e., ruler of the Muslims) or his vicegerent will deliver the 2nd Khutba of Hajj which is Sunnat, not Wajib. He will then lead the congregation of Zuhr and Asr prayers taking them togather in the time of Zuhr. In this case two Sunnat prayers of Zuhr will be abandoned.
Rule Of Action
On the day of Arafa in Arafat, this combining of Zuhr and Asr prayers togather in the time of Zuhr is Sunnat or Mustahab but this is subject to the condition that you are wearing the Ihram of Hajj and the prayers are performed in the leadership of Imam-
ul-Muslimin or his vicegerent. Firstly Zuhr and then Asr prayers are to be performed separately.

59) Falsely claiming someone is One’s Father

On the authority of Sa’d, (may Allah be pleased with him) who said, “The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“Paradise is forbidden to whoever falsely claims someone is his father, knowing he is not.”( Bukhari)

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said,

“The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Do not wish for fathers other than your own. For someone to wish for a different father is unbelief.” (Bukhari)

In another narration, it is reported,

57) Fleeing of the Slave

Muslim reported in his Sahih that, “The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“When the slave flee away (from his master), his/her prayer will not be accepted.” (Muslim)

The Prophet (pbuh) is also reported to have said,

“Any slave that flees away, the pledge of Islam is cleared from him.”( Muslim)

Ibn Khuzaimah reported in his Sahih from the hadith of Jabir who said, “The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“There are three people whose prayer will not be accepted, nor will their good deeds be raised up to the sky, a fleeing slave until he returns to his master, a rebellious woman until her husband be satisfied with her and a drunkard until his mind is restored.

25) The Engulfing Oath

Allah says,

“As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own solemn plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the hereafter! Nor will Allah (Design to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgement, nor will he clean them (of sin): they shall have a grievous chastisement.” (3: 77)

095 The Fig (Rukuh 01) (Ayats 01-08)

With the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

[95:1] I swear by the Fig and the Olive,

[95:2] and by Tūr, the mount of Sinai,

[95:3] and by this peaceful city,

[95:4] We have created man in the best composition,

[95:5] then We turned him into the lowest of the low,

THE TIME LIMIT OF THE PROPHETIC AUTHORITY

We have so far studied the two types of the Prophetic authority, first being the authority to make new laws in addition to those contained in the Holy Quran, and the second being the authority to explain, interpret and expound the Quranic injunctions.

But before proceeding to other aspects of the Prophetic authority, another issue should be resolved just here.

THE OBEDIENCE OF THE PROPHET AS DISTINCT FROM THE OBEDIENCE OF A RULER

From the above conclusions, which are based purely on the verses of the Holy Quran, another possibility, often overemphasized by some quarters while opposing the authority of the Sunnah, is completely ruled out. It is sometimes said that the Holy Quran, when it ordains the obedience of the Holy Prophet (SAWS), means his obedience in the capacity of a ruler or a head of the state, and not in the capacity of a prophet. Since the Holy Prophet (SAWS) was also a ruler of ‘the Muslims, they were ordered to ‘obey’ and ‘follow’ him. But after he passed away, his personal obedience is no more necessary. Now, whoever takes over the rule shall stand for the Holy Prophet (SAWS) in the matter of obedience, and the Muslims should follow him.
