Zihâr or Likening the wife to one’s mother

1. A person says to his wife: “You are equal to my mother.”,”To me, you are equal to my mother”, “According to me, you are equal to my mother”, “According to me, now you are similar to my mother or like my mother”. In all the above cases, look at the intention of the person and what did he mean by these words. If he meant that she is similar or equal to his mother in respect and piety or that she is absolutely old just like his mother, equal in age to her, etc. then there will be nothing wrong in saying all these things and no rule will be enforced. Similarly, if he did not intend anything at the time of uttering these words or did not mean what he said but merely blurted these words out, even then no rule will be enforced.

The Number Of Rakat In Jumah Prayer For Men And Women

Q. “How many Rakat are sunnah muakkadah in jumah prayer? Is ther any difference between men and women in this respect? “

A.“It is obligatory for men to perform jumah prayer with jamaah the number of obligatory (Fard) salah of jumah is only two Rakat and six are to be performed after the congregational prayer is over .

As for women, the jumah prayer is not obligatory on them. They should offer their salah in their homes individually and should offer the normal Zuhr prayer instead of jumah The number of Rakat for them is the same as they perform at the time of zuhr, every day that is the four obligatory rakat and the six rakat as sunnah muakkadah four of which are to be performed before the Fard salah and two of them after it

Secondly:

THE SECOND KIND OF REVELATION PROVED BY THE HOLY QURAN (Part 2)

In the beginning one of the rules followed by the Muslims in respect of the fasts of Ramadan was that even a short nap after iftar (breaking of a fast) would nullify the permissibility of having sexual intercourse with one’s wife. So, if someone would sleep for a short while after iftar and wake up again, he would lose the opportunity of sleeping with his wife during the rest of the night, despite that the fast was over. This rule was prescribed by the Holy Prophet (SAWS) and was not contained in the Holy Quran. But some Muslims broke the rule by sleeping with their wives after having a post-iftar nap.

ITTIBA’ (FOLLOWING) OF THE PROPHET

The second term used by the Holy Quran in respect of the prophets is the’ ittiba’, i.e. to follow:

Say, if you love Allah, follow mc and Allah will love you and forgive you your sins (3:31)

Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet whom they find written down with them in the Torah and the Evangile… (7:157)

Believe, then, in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may be on the right path. (7:157)
