“Oh Allah, all praise and thanks to You for clothing me with this (garment). I ask You for the good of it and the good of what it was made for, and I ask Your protection from the evil of it and the evil of what it was made for.”

Hadith & Seerah, The Teachings of the Holy Prophet, The Ways of the Prophet (SAWS)

It was usual with the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) to observe tartila (clear and distinct) in the recitation of the Holy QURAAN. He would not recite it rapidly and would utter each and every word clearly and would make a slight interval after reciting an ayah and would stretch out the word bearing the sign of maddah e.g., he would recite RAHMAN AND RAHEEM in a stretched out form and while beginning the recitation of the Holy QURAAN, he would seek refuge from ALLAH from cursed Shaitan (satan) in the following words: “I seek refuge in ALLAH from cursed shaitan”

Evil promptings are not against Man and are not accountable

Hadith & Seerah, The Teachings of the Holy Prophet, The Ways of the Prophet (SAWS)

Hadrat Abdullah-lbn-AbbaS (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated: A man came to the Messenger of ALLAH and said, Sometimes such evil thoughts occur to me that I would rather be burnt to ashes than make a mention of them. The Messenger of ALLAH replied, Praise and thanks be to ALLAH who has turned this affair into one of evil suggestions (i.e. has made those thoughts remain thoughts only) and not turning them into doubt and evil deeds.
