Hadith Number Two

Hazrat Ibn Abbas R.A. reports: ‘On the day of Arafaat a young man; Fadhl; was Rasulullah’s sal’am companion, sharing his camel; when the young man cast his eyes, staring at the women. Whereupon Rasulullah sal’am said: ‘O so of my brother, this is such a day when whoever controls his hearing, his sight and the tongue; he shall certainly be forgiven by Allah’. The young man here referred to was Fadl Ibn Abbaas.

Ayah Number Two

“For Hajj are the months well known, if anyone undertakes that duty therein let there be no obscenity, no wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj. And whatever good you do, be sure Allah knoweth it.”

In this verse the word ‘Rafath’ is used, meaning obscene speech. This may be of two different kinds. Firstly there is more strongly prohibited. Secondly there is that form which under normal circumstances may be allowed, but during Hajj (ihraam) becomes prohibited, for example in the case of love talk with one’s wife.

70) Disparaging the Companions of the Prophet

The Prophet (pbuh) said,

“Allah most high says: he who is hostile to a friend (Waliyy) of Mine, I declare war against”

“Do not revile my companions, for by Him in Whose Hand is my soul, were one of you to spend gold equal to mount Uhud, you would not attain the reward of the handful of one of them or even half of it.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

(Because what they spent benefited Islam more)

Three grades of fasting

By Imam Ghazali

It should be known that there are three grades of fasting: ordinary, special and extra-special.

Ordinary fasting means abstaining from food, drink and sexual satisfaction.

Special fasting means keeping one’s ears, eyes, tongue, hands and feet-and all other organs-free from sin.

Extra-special fasting means fasting of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly thoughts, in total disregard of everything but Allah.

See not what displeases Allah

The Power of Propaganda

The cleverest advocate of “Falsehood” was Goebbels, who spoke the Truth when he said that if “falsehood” is spread with full force the world starts taking it as the “truth”. Our modernists have also been following Goebbels’ adage so much so that even some of the very learned and balanced of mind people regard this slogan as true while it is just a false blame, cunningly produced by propaganda machines of modern time.
