Love of ALLAH and His Prophet

Hadrat Anas (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of ALLAH said, there are three qualities and whosoever possesses them, will be favored with the sweetness of Eeman. One who holds ALLAH and his Messenger dearer than any thing else (i.e. who does not love anybody or anything more than ALLAH and his Messenger). One who loves a human being for the sake of ALLAH alone (i.e without any expectation of any worldly gain – but on this consideration alone that he is a godly person). One who has been rescued from Kufr (whether from the very beginning or through repentance) and after that he dislikes returning to Kufr as much as being cast into Hell. Hadith Number Two

Hazrat Abi Umama R.A. reports that Rasulullah Sal’am said: “Whoever fails to perform Hajj while not being prevented from it by a definite and valid necessity, or by oppression from an unjust ruler, or by sever illness, and then passes away, in such a state has the choice to die as a Jew, if he so wishes, or as Christian if he so wishes.’

The same type of Hadith is reported by Hazrat Umar R.A. in it is thrice mentioned: “he has the choice to die as a Jew if he so wishes or as a Christian.” Another report from Hazrat Umar R.A. does not do so, then you can swear (by Allah) that he has died as a Christian or as a Jew.” (Kanz)

Aayat Number One

“Pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) is a duty man owes to Allah upon those who can afford the journey.”

The ulama inform us that Hajj became obligatory when this verse was revealed. When we look at the verse we see a lot of emphasis and stress. Let us study it:

Firstly, we find a Laam on the word of Allah (Lillaahi) which lays emphasis on the fact that Hajj is obligatory. (see Allama Ainy)

‘Alan-naas’ is another term that denotes extreme emphasis.

Introduction

“O People of Imaan! Siyâm (fasting) has been ordained for you just as It was ordained for those before you so that you attain taqwa! [Qur'an]

Siyam is among the fundamental acts of Ibadat. It has been ordained by Allah Ta’ala for the development of taqwa (piety) in the Mu’mineen. Fasting is extremely efficacious for the acquisition of taqwa. A Muslim cannot acquire Divine Proximity without taqwa. Without taqwa, the Muslim must necessarily drift far off the straight Path (Seeratul Mustaqeem) which leads to Allah Ta’ala and everlasting success in the Akhirah.

The 15th of Shabaan (Shabe Baraat)

The virtue of this night established from Ahadith is that from the very beginning of the night Allah Ta’ ala turns with special mercy and attention towards the creation and forgives those who repent and seeks forgiveness. Every Muslim should therefore value this night. Turn towards Allah Ta’ ala with sincere regret and shame over sins committed and make a promise never to return to sin again and seek forgiveness from Allah Ta’ala. Seek forgiveness for oneself and all Muslims, living and deceased. Have firm hope and resolution in the heart that Allah Ta’ ala will surely show mercy and forgiveness.

DRESSING CHILDREN

TASHABBUH BIL KUFFAAR (emulating and imitating the kuffaar) is haraam even for children. The motivation underlying such Tashabbuh is love and preference for kufr. It is a subtle love which lurks in the very inner recesses of the heart. Even the person in who lurks this malady of kufr fails to detect it. However, the sin of the Tashabbuh of children settles on the parents. Even seemingly pious and Deeni conscious people are extremely careless and even indifferent regarding the prohibition of Tashabbuh in relation to children. While the parents may not emulate the dress styles of the kuffaar, they unhesitatingly adopt all the latest, lewd and immoral dress styles for their children, especially for the girls.

Kufr and Shirk

Kufr and Shirk

This chapter deals with those aspects that have a special connection with kufr and shirk either because these aspects necessitate kufr and shirk, or because they are customs and habits of the kuffar and mushrikeen, or they have traces of shirk, or because they lead to kufr and shirk.

The following are forbidden in the Shariah:
