Islam is Broad-minded

No religion is as broadminded and tolerant as Islam. The hearts of Muslims are very liberal but this does not mean they are deprived of their sense of honour. Their Haya is everything for them.

So it can never mean that we adopt the ways of the infidels and start celebrating their festivals. Today this deluge of following the west witnessed in our society is utterly damaging for our faith. It is our obligation to set dikes before this flood, build up our courage, and dishearten those who are helping these waves to cross all bounds.

Evil Disguised in Goodness

Evil is being presented before us as a thing of marvel and delight. Indecency is presented in a striking manner and we are told that it is freedom, it is entertainment, it is happiness. Love flourishes due to this and comfort is found in it.

Alas! Nothing of this is true! In fact it is due to this only that homes are broken, children get ruined, Haya goes away, youth gets strained by fulfilment of the lustful desires, chastity of daughters gets lost, sons cuts off relations from the fathers, and daughters do not remain loyal to their own mothers. The family system gets broken into pieces.

The Prominence of the Islamic Culture

One of the most eminent features of the Islamic culture is ‘Haya’ (bashfulness). Holy Prophet SAW said, “There is an Akhlaaq for every Deen and the Akhlaaq of Islam is Haya.”

The root word for Haya is ‘Hayaat’ which means ‘life’. So the life of Ummat-e-Muslima is “Haya” and the opposite of it (shamelessness) is death for the Muslim world. That is the main reason why it is being tried to the highest degree from all sides to root out our very sense of honour (haya).

Weakness of the Muslims

So my friends, Muslims have their own celebrations but because our education is not ours anymore, our media is not ours and as a result of the environments of which our children are now becoming a part, their thinking is not theirs any longer, and parents too do not give them that atmosphere at homes where their roots of Emaan would have strengthened, they would acquire a sense of religious honour and they would be able to discern as to what are our traditions, what really are our festivals, and what are our celebrations.

THE IMPORTANCE AND ROLE OF THE YOUTH

All praises are only for Allah Ta’ala. We praise Him, seek His Help and beseech Him to forgive us. We seek His Protection from the evils of our carnal selves and bad actions. None can lead astray whom He guides and none can guide whom He leads astray. We bear witness that none is worthy of worship except Allah Ta’ala, the One Who has no partner and Muhammed (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) is His slave and messenger.

Before The Start Of Hajj Journey

Please be careful about certain things :-

1. Purify your intention (Niyyat) for Hajj only for the sake of Allah and exclusively keeping in view the heavenly reward. Do not allow any worldly honour and vanity or any financial advantages or any worldly selfish design to mix up with your intention for Hajj. There is of course no Harm if even then some worldly benefits are attained to by Allah’s grace (and according to Hadith wordly benefits will also be certainly available), but you should not impurify your intention for their sake.

Is He really watching?

The age we live in, where we see countless rampant sins, one is left to wonder: is Allah truly watching over? It serves well to reminisce how Hazrat Luqman is instructing his son to always be mindful of Allah:

“O my son!” (Said Hazrat Luqman), “If there be (but) the weight of a mustard seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah understands the finest mysteries, (and) is well-acquained (with them).” [Luqman 31:16]

Tranquility through Deprivation

When Allah seizes some precious possession from a believer and deprives him of it, the last thing to ensue would be his getting disheartened. A firm believer’s condition would actually not change! Infact, all in and out tranquility reins him. An illustration for this can be when a cherished friend of yours takes your belongings to Quetta, and you too have to leave Karachi to settle in Quetta for good. You even know that your friend who has taken your luggage to Quetta is a very wise man, and has also assured you: “My friend, I’m taking your possessions to Quetta and before you even arrive there, it will be increased manifold.” So what do you think, would you be perturbed or would you be content? Very content, indeed. Voicing the verity in honour of your friend: What a good fellow he is, who reduced my burden; in addition, he is also going to boost my assets multiple times over.

THINGS WHICH MAKE PERMISSIBLE THE BREAKING OF SAUM

Breaking Saum becomes permissible only in case of a real need, emergency or danger. When a fast is broken on account of a valid reason qadha of the fast is obligatory. In such cases only qadha is necessary, not Kaffarah.

The following are valid reasons which make permissible the breaking of Saum:

(1) Sudden sickness which endangers one’s life, or which will cause great deterioration of health if the fast is not broken.

(2) When it becomes necessary to take medicine due to having been bitten by a poisonous animal.

Verses of the Quran concerning Tabligh (Ayat 01)

“And whose words can be better than his, who calls (people) towards Allah, and performs good deeds, and says: ‘I am one of those who submit to Allah!’”

Certain commentators have written that whoever invites people to Allah through any means deserves the honour mentioned in the above verse. For instance, the prophets call people to Allah by means of miracles. and supernatural actions, the scholars invite them by preaching and arguments, the Muslim warriors (mujahids) call them by means of the sword: and the muazzins call them ‘by means of the azaan. In short, whoever invites people to good deeds deserves this reward, whether he calls them to the formal observances of Islam or to the internal improvements of the spirit, like the mystics who stress the purification of the heart and the realization of Allah’s attributes.
In the concluding verse quoted above some commentators say such a person should also be proud of the honour bestowed on him by Allah, of being categorised as a Muslim, and he should proclaim this honour in words.
Some other commentators interpret that he should not be proud of being a preacher, but should consider himself as an ordinary Muslim.
