Second Question & Answer

Dawah & Tabligh, Islamic Politics (Al-Eitidal fi Maratib ul Rijal)

Question 2:

Whose view in your opinion is correct and what is your opinion in these matters?

Answer:

The second question of yours is so meaningless in my opinion, that it does not deserve an answer. Did you ever ponder over the great knowledge of these two great saints, their virtue, righteousness and fear for Allah, their honesty and abstinence, their nearness to Allah, their yeomen service in the cause of Islam? What is there in this humble person of mine that will ever allow me to place myself in their category? What right have I that I may judge between them as to who is right and who is wrong?

Lecture 7. The Message of the Holy Prophet of Islam

Dawah & Tabligh, Muhammad, the last messenger, the last message

Gentlemen! In my previous six lectures I have trIed to prove in the light of sound, and authentic arguments that of all the great men who have served humanity, only the Prophets of Allah are the ones whose noble examples ought to be followed And the most perfect and complete life available to us today is that of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) which makes him the best and eternal role model for all mankind. Once we have shown that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the eternal and perfect model the question arises— what are his universal teachings that lead to eternal success? What message has he brought to the world and what are the essential features of that message for which the last of God’s Messengers was sent to this world? How did this Message modify & and complete the messages sent down through the earlier Prophets?

Hadith Number Four

Chapter 07 - Concerning the Umrah, Dawah & Tabligh, Virtues of Hajj (Fazail e Hajj)

Hazrat Abu Hurairah R.A. reports that Rasulullah Sal’am said; ‘The Hajis and those who perform umrah are Allah’s deputation. When they pray to Him, He answers them, and when they seek His forgiveness, He forgives them.’

The Hajis and those enroute to perform umrah are a deputation with special duties towards Allah. In the same manner that we have deputation and delegations going to the courts of great men and rulers, these people go to present themselves at Allah’s house. And in the same manner that a delegation desires to be honored, these people are honored in Allah’s presence. According to one Hadith: ‘The delegation of Allah are of three kinds: ‘the fighters in His way, those who perform Haj and those who perform umrah.’ (Mishkaat)
