The Holy Ka’ba had been re-erected quite a few time. About some of these times the ulama are agreed whereas there is some doubt about its erection at other times. A short synopsis of what is written there follows here:

1. The well know accepted view of the ulama is that it was originally erected by the angels about two thousand years prior to the creation of Hazrat Aadam A.S. some ulama even state that this was not the first time the Ka’ba was built. 1. A particular place
   was in the control of the kuffâr. These kuffâr used to live there
   and lead their normal lives in that place. Thereafter, the Muslims invaded that
   place, waged war with the inhabitants, captured the place and propagated Islam
   therein. The Muslim ruler confiscated all the land of that place and distributed
   it among the Muslims. In the Shariah, such land is referred to as
   “ushri” land. If all the inhabitants of that place accepted Islam
   willingly and there was no need to wage a war against them, all the land of that
   place will still be regarded as ushri land. All Arab lands are also
   ushri lands.

Taqleed of Forefathers in The Qur’an

1. The first objection is that the Qur’an has condemned taqleed:

“And when it is said to them, “follow that which Allah has revealed”, they say, “Nay, we follow that (way whereon we found our fathers.” What! Even though their fathers understood not anything, nor were they rightly guided.” (2:170)  Read more... (432 words, estimated 1:44 mins reading time)
