Hazrat Abu Hurairah R.A. reports that Rasulullah Sal’am said; ‘The Hajis and those who perform umrah are Allah’s deputation. When they pray to Him, He answers them, and when they seek His forgiveness, He forgives them.’

The Hajis and those enroute to perform umrah are a deputation with special duties towards Allah. In the same manner that we have deputation and delegations going to the courts of great men and rulers, these people go to present themselves at Allah’s house. And in the same manner that a delegation desires to be honored, these people are honored in Allah’s presence. According to one Hadith: ‘The delegation of Allah are of three kinds: ‘the fighters in His way, those who perform Haj and those who perform umrah.’ (Mishkaat)  Read more... Hazrat Anas bin Maalik R.A. reports that Rasulullah Sal’am said: ‘The salaat which a person performs in his house is one salaat; and his salaat in the local masjid is equal to 25 salaats: and his salaat in the Jaame Masjid where the people gather is rewarded to the extent of five hundred salaats; and his salaat in the mosque of Jerusalem, Masjidul Aqsaa is rewarded to the extent of fifty thousand salaats: and his salaat in my mosque-Masjidul Nabawi in the Holy Mosque of Makkah is rewarded to the extent of one hundred thousand salaats’

Hazrat Buraidah R.A reports that Rasulullah Sal’am said: “The expenses incurred during Hajj is like that incurred in Jihaad; rewarded seven hundred times.”

Once Rasulullah Sal’am said to Hazrat Aeyesha R.A. “The reward for you Umrah is determined by the amount spent on it.”
That is; the more one spends on it, the more shall be the reward.

It is well known that Sayyiduna ‘Ali (RA) had a script of Ahadith with him. He says,

“I have not written anything from the Holy Prophet (SAWS) except the Holy Quran and what is contained in this script (Bukhari).

Imam Bukhari has mentioned this script at six different places of his Sahih. A combined study of all those places reveals that this script was substantially large and it consisted of Ahadith about Qisas (retaliation), Diyah (blood money), Fidyah(ransom) rights of the non-muslim citizens of an Islamic state, some specific kinds of inheritance, Zakah rules pertaining to camels of different ages, and some rules about the sanctity of the city of Madinah  Read more...
