1. It is mustahab to remove the hair of the pubic region and the armpits once a week. If one does not remove these hairs weekly, one should at least remove them every fortnight. If one cannot even do this, one should remove them before forty days. If a person leaves these hairs for more than forty days, he will be sinning.

2. It is makruh for women to call their husbands and parents by name as this shows disrespect. However, certain occasions may demand that they be called by name. In such circumstances it will be permissible to call both the husband and parents by name. The manner of performing the Salaah is the same for both man and woman. The distinctive features are mentioned below:

1. While saying the takbeer -e- Tahreema men should take out their hands from their cloak/shroud and raise their hands to the ears, unless there is any specific requirement like cold etc. to keep them covered. But women must invariably keep their hands inside and raise them to their shoulders without taking them out.

Hadrat Abu Malik-Al-Ashar (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Holy Prophet that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said:

“Taharah is a constituent of Eeman;

saying (Praise be to ALLAH) fills the scale;

saying (Glory be to ALLAH and Praise be to ALLAH) fills the space between the heavens and the earth:

Salaah is a light:

Sadqa is a proof,

endurance is a shining glory and

the Holy QURAAN is a proof on your behalf or against you.

When you intend to wear ‘Ihram’ you should at first take a bath though only making an ablution (Wudhu) will also suffice. It is Sunnat (Tradition of the Holy Prophet) before bath or Wudhu to have the nails pruned, to lower down the moustaches by trimming, to undershave, to shave the armpits and to have a hair cut or shaven if it has been usual ; otherwise to comb the long grown hair. For ‘Ihram’ It is Sunnat to comprise of two sheets of cloth, new or used but washed. One sheet should be used as a loin-cloth and the other as an upper cover. Hadrat Jabir bin Samura (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) also used to sit cross-legged and sometimes sat with knees up and bottoms of this feet touching the ground and having his hands set in the armpits.
