084 The Sundering (Rukuh 01, Ayats 01-25)

With the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

[84:1] When the sky will split apart,

[84:2] and will listen to (the command of) its Lord,__ and it ought to,__

[84:3] and when the earth will be stretched (to give room to more people),

[84:4] and it will throw up whatever it contains, and will become empty,

With the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

[93:1] I swear by the forenoon,

[93:2] and by the night when it becomes peaceful,

[93:3] your Lord (O Prophet,) has neither forsaken you, nor has become displeased.

[93:4] Surely the Hereafter is much better for you than the present life.

ADHAAN – THE CALL TO SALAAT

1. If the adhaan is being called out for any salaat, it is necessary that it
be given in the time of that salaat. If the adhaan is given before the
commencement of the time, it will not be valid. When the time enters, the adhaan
will have to be repeated irrespective of whether it was for fajr salaat or any
other salaat.

Chapter 08 DIFFERENT LEVELS OF TAQLEED Part 1

Taqleed of The Masses

This is the first level of taqleed. By masses, we mean:

(i) Those who are completely unaware of the Arabic language and the Islamic sciences though they may be well educated and adept in other sciences.

(ii) Those who though they know Arabic and can understand Arabic books, but have not acquired knowledge of tafseer, Hadith, fiqh and related religious matters from a teacher in a proper way.

(iii) Those who though they have accomplished Islamic sciences formally but have not gained proficiency in tafseer, Hadith, fiqh and their fundamentals, nor do they have insight in them.

Good Companionship

Good companionship, choosing and having good companions is extremely important for many reasons and from many aspects.

1. Mankind cannot live alone; every individual must live and interact with others.

2. Those people who you sit with and make your friends are inevitably going to fall into one of two categories. Either they are going to be good individuals – who guide and encourage you towards what is good and help you to accomplish that which Allaah has ordered, or they are going to be bad – encouraging you to do what is pleasing to Shaytaan, that which misleads you, and leads you to the Hell-Fire.

DEFINITION OF SUNNAH

The Sunnah has been defined by the scholars of the science of’ Hadith’ as follows:

“A word spoken or an act done or a confirmation given by the Holy Prophet Muhammad t .“

‘Confirmation’ in this definition is termed in Arabic as Taqrir. What is meant by this term is like somebody said something, or acted in a particular manner, and his saying or act came to the knowledge of the Holy Prophet ,and he either confirmed it in express words or remained silent without giving any indication of disapproval. Such silence, being an implied approval of the Holy Prophet is also included in the term ‘Sunnah’.
