And set righteousness, for my sake, in my progeny. Of course, I repent to you, and truly I am one of those who submit to You. (46:15)
Significance: A person whose children are disobedient, he should recite the above verse after each prayer. They will lnsha Allah soon become obedient.
Al- Wali (The polieting Friend)
Significance: The recitation of the above excessively by the husband will cause the wife and him both to love one another lnsha Allah.
Faith: The most basic and essential attribute of a Muslim marriage is the common faith that binds the couple. Since Islam is a way of life and not just a religion confined to weekly worship it becomes an integral part of a Muslim’s life. The frame of reference shared by the couple eases communication and sharing of values which is not possible in an interfaith marriage. It is highly recommended that faith play an important role in the developing a loving relationship. For example, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, that when a husband feeds his wife, he gets a reward for this act and Allah increases the bond of love between them. So when we love each other for the sake of Allah WE ACTUALLY INCREASE OUR FAITH.
Ghazi Anwar Pasha’s Last Letter to his wife
Ghazi Anwar Pasha was from amongst those great Mujahideen of Turkey who had spent all his life fighting against the enemies of Islam. Eventually he was martyred by the Russians. Only a day prior to this he sent a letter to his wife, Najiya Sultana. This letter was published by her in the Turkish newspapers, and after being transferred was published by her in the newspapers in India on the 22 April 1923.
This letter is so touching and thought provoking that every young man should read it. An inspiring account of Mujahideen from the Ottaman period.
THE NIKAH OF HADHRAT FAATIMAH (radhiallahu anhaa)— A LESSON FOR US!
Hadhrat Ali (radhiallahu anhu) very bashfully approached Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) for the great wealth of Nabi’s (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) daughter. Hadhrat Ali (radhiallahu anhu) made his marriage proposal for the hand of Hadhrat Faatimah (radhiallahu anhaa) directly to Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam). The command of Allah Ta’ala was immediately revealed and Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) accepted the proposal.
The rigmarole, frills and fancies attendant to proposals and engagements were totally absent. The customs surrounding marriage proposals and engagements of nowadays are nonsensical and at variance as well as in conflict with the Sunnah.
In Suraah Ahzaab, Allah Ta`ala has mentioned the following ten qualities which every Muslim should strive to inculcate in themselves. The woman of Jannah is one who has the following qualities:
1. She is a Muslimah: She readily, willingly and cheerfully submits to Allah’s commands. She does not question the wisdom of the Shariah. “Men have charge over women” says Allah. The woman of wonder does not believe in “gender equality, etc.” and does not suffer from an inferior complex, as she is fully aware that in her role as a home executive she gains the Pleasure of Allah Ta`ala.
During the Battle of Bait Lihya, the Muslim Commander Zarrar(ra) was captured by the Byzantine forces. Word was sent to Khalid Bin Walid (ra) for further help.
Leaving the command of Damacus to Abu Ubaida (ra), Khalid( ra) set off to Bait Lihya with his mobile contingent of 4000 horsemen. As Khalid(ra ) approached the battle-field, he saw a muslim rider with a masked face gallop of towards the Byzantine front. This warrior would kill a number of the enemy soldiers, and then withdraw. He would after some time pounce on the enemy again and kill everyone who came his way. He was striking fear in the ranks of the enemy soldiers.

I am an American woman who was born in the midst of America’s “Heartland.” I grew up, just like any other girl, being fixated with the glamour of life in “the big city.” Eventually, I moved to Florida and on to South Beach of Miami, a hotspot for those seeking the “glamorous life.” Naturally, I did what most average Western girls do. I focused on my appearance and appeal, basing my self-worth on how much attention I got from others. I worked out religiously and became a personal trainer, acquired an upscale waterfront residence, became a regular “exhibiting” beach-goer and was able to attain a “living-in-style” kind of life.

Television has spread like a wild fire in the world, including the Muslim world. It seems to have overcome the limitations of space and time.
Consider place. In Saudi Arabia, one can find the imprints of Hollywood only a few yards away from the Haram, the most sacred of all sanctuaries of Islam. Videocassettes are easily available at stores. A hotel attendant, at a walking distance from the Haram al-Sharif in Makkah can be found busy watching English movies on the television in his office even as the prayers are going on. At the Jeddah airport, the Umrah pilgrims can watch a European beauty contest courtesy of an Egyptian TV channel being broadcast to the airport television sets.
Do Muslim Women Have Rights?
Anyone whose sole source of knowledge about Islam has been the Western media, “knows” that Islam “oppresses” women. The hijab or veil, is the symbol of such “oppression.” To “liberate” Muslim women from such “oppression” has been the cherished goal of media pundits, Western “experts” on Islam, and the feminists.
