PEOPLE WHO ALLAH WILL NOT FORGIVE

August 24th, 2008

Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho-alaihe-wa’aalaihee-wassalam said:

“All people of my Ummah can be forgiven but those who openly rebel against Allah will not be forgiven.” (Saheeh Bukhari)

Following are eight forms of open rebellion against Allah:

1. Shave or trim beard beyond the limits of shariah,

2. Not taking shariah compliant hijab(also hijab against those near relatives who are not mehram, like cousins, brothers of husband, nephews of husband etc.),

3. Wearing of clothes reaching below ankles by men,

4. Unnecessarily making photographs of people or animals, and going to places with photographs, and having such photographs and looking at them,

List of Major Sins (AL- KABA’IR)

August 18th, 2008

Please make sincere repentance to Allah before as Ali (ra) said, “Today is deed without reckoning and tomorrow is reckoning without deeds”. Sincere repentance has four conditions :

  • Feeling bad for the sin
  • Firm commitment in intention not to repeat sin (whether it happens again is not a condition if one tried his best)
  • Make repentance to Allah by Du’a and asking or better crying for forgiveness
  • If some person has been wronged because of this sin then one needs to make up to this person.

1. Associating partners with Allaah (Shirk)

WORSE THAN THE CARTOONS

August 17th, 2008

The publication of the insulting and offensive cartoons in Denmark is to be entirely expected from the enemies of Islam. About the hatred for the Muslims the Qur’an Majeed states: “O People of Imaan! Do not take as bosom friends (confidants) those besides your own people. They leave no stone unturned (to harm you). They desire that which will cause suffering to you. Verily, hatred (for you) has poured from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is worse. Verily, We have explained the Signs to you, if you indeed have intelligence.” (Surah Al-Imraan,
ayat 118).

Tips for improving your relationship with the Quran

August 17th, 2008

Are you one of those people who rarely touch the Quran? Or do you read daily, but don’t find it is having the impact on you that it should? Whatever the case may be, these are some simple tips that can help you connect with the Quran.

1. Before you touch it, check your heart

The key to really benefiting from the Quran is to check your heart first, before you even touch Allah’s book. Ask yourself, honestly, why you are reading it. Is it to just get some information and to let it drift away from you later? Remember that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was described by his wife as a “walking Quran”: in other words, he didn’t just read and recite the Quran, he lived it.

Advice for Women

August 17th, 2008

Very often - and perhaps in our times when we have forgotten much of the Sunnah - the lectures, khutbahs, and talks are all directed to the Muslim men. We forget that from the Hady – guidance and way – of Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - was that he would allocate a specific day of the week to teach the women. Women would come up to him in Hajj, in the street, even in his home and ask him questions about the Deen. At the Eid Salah, after addressing the men, he would take Bilal and go to the women section and address the women. Allah revealed an entire Surah by the name of Surah An-Nisa – the Women. And another by the name of – Maryam. And a third by the name of al Mujaadalah – the women who pleads. It is in enlivening this Sunnah that today this speech shall be addressed to the believing women, al-Mu’minaat.

IMPORTANCE OF EARNING HALAAL

August 17th, 2008

Earning a halaal livelihood is a command of Allah and the responsibility of every man. Hazrath Anas [radhiallaahu anhu] reports that Rasulullah [صلى الله عليه وسلم] has said: “It is a bounded duty upon every Muslirn to earn a halaal livelihood.”

Earning halaal saves one from begging, consuming haraam and doubtful things which are truly harmful.

Many aayaat as well as ahaadith have been given explaining how one should conduct oneself while seeking a halaal livelihood and regarding the importance of doing business and trade in accordance to the shariah.

Advice

الدين النصيحة

“The religion (Islam) is to act with sincerity” or “Religion is advice”

The Arabic word Al-Nasihah is difficult to translate into English.

Allama Ibn Daqeeq al Eid رحمة الله عليه states that “In Arabic there is no similar for the word Al-Nasihah”

Other meanings could be – giving good advice, directing towards good, acting with sincerity or honesty, or being compassionate and desiring good.

The hadith makes clear that one of the core aspects of true faith is to give good counsel, to wish well, and to act towards everything with honesty and sincerity.
